By virtue of an evaluation done by the Council on Higher Education (HCE) of all MBA programmes in SA, the only MBA presented by an university operational in the Free State, is that of Unisa, which has a branch in Bloemfontein. The flagship qualification of the Unisa Graduate School of Business Leadership (SBL) is its Master of Business Leadership (MBL).
In the MBL/MBA market in SA, the SBL produces 40% of graduates and has since 1969 accounted for more than 7 500 graduates.
Since it's inception two months ago, a wealth of information has been put onto the website of the Premier's Economic Advisory Council (PEAC). On the website at www.peac.co.za a lot of up to date research reports covering from an economic profile of the province, to issues of knowledge economy, SMME development, mining and mineral benefication, agricultural diversification, local economic development, etc. has been pasted.
The PEAC is evidentially making a great effort in researching the Free State economy, making their findings readily available on their website. As such the website is probably at present the most extensive singular public source of information on the economy of the Free State.
