This edition
We are simply grateful that this edition could serve as a mirror reflecting dynamic business and developmental events.
The Koppies-Toyota story on the front page speaks of a bold initiative by a small community, while the establishment of a Free State-based Centre for Business Dynamics signals a commendable striving for business excellence comparing with the best in SA.
However, we also have hot news items reflecting the ever-present negative side of things, but in contrast the feature on Ladybrand should make nice reading, especially for prospective investors and tourists. We are glad to bring our readers expert opinions by University lecturers on how the latest national budget impacts on entrepreneurs.
It is moreover good to be able to report how the Goldfields Region / Matjhabeng Area is rearing its head towards economic regeneration and is indeed working methodically on a bigger development plan. Very enlightening is the substantiated replies which the Free State MEC for Local Government & Housing provides to our critical questions on LED in the province.
The first Free State summit on LED scheduled for 11 and 12 March constitutes a milestone and it is hoped that it will live up to exspectations. Our feature on Transport in the province introduces you to business suppliers ready, able and aching to move. Victorian Square is an exciting addition on the business horison in the Free State and clearly destined to fulfill an increasing function.
We are also excited about what the new dual advertising service of the Free State Business Bulletin, combining practically and effectively newspaper and Internet, would mean to our advertisers. There is of course more. Hope you find it of value and that it makes for enjoyable reading! Do give us feedback - that's the only way we can further improve our service.
